NEET-PG 2021 to be held on 11th September

Deemed to be held earlier in January, the pandemic has delayed the proceedings of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for postgraduate students. The union minister on the 13th of July’21 has confirmed that NEET-PG 2021 will be held on 11th September 2021. The application process has already begun and the last date of submission is 6th August’21.

The NEET-PG initially was thought to be conducted in January which was later revised to April. But as per the recent update, the date has been finalized to be on 11th September’21. The NEET-PG qualification enables medical students to pursue a higher course in medicine and also grants admission to various MD/MS/PG diploma courses. Around 2 lakh candidates are expected to write for the NEET-PG 2021.

Amidst the pandemic and the postponement of the exam, the Centre has announced that the medical interns will be deployed in Covid management tasks as India is facing a dire crisis of quality and expert medical professionals. This comes right after the confirmation of the NEET-UG 2021 final exam dates and in direct response to meet the growing demands of quality healthcare professionals.
